About me.

Hi, I’m Tim, and here’s a little insight into my journey into nutrition and medicine, and how Eden Health and Nutrition came to be.

My passion for food began at 18 when I trained in Cordón Bleu cookery and began working in restaurants and private catering. It didn’t take long for me to discover a deeper interest in clinical nutrition, especially while working with families managing complex dietary needs. I soon realised that food is far more than a luxury—it’s central to well-being and has a profound impact on health. This understanding led to creating everything from gluten-free mince pies to recipes for managing diverticular disease and blood pressure.

A few years later, I moved to London to study Nutrition and Dietetics at King’s College London. After graduating in 2011 with a 2:1, I began working across the NHS and in the private sector, including with HCA London, while also building my freelance career. As my interest in clinical nutrition grew, I realised my love for patient care and a desire to deepen my clinical understanding. This led me to qualify as a medical doctor, graduating from Barts and The London in 2018 while maintaining my dual registration as a dietitian.

Alongside my clinical work, I have a strong research interest in medical and nutrition education, focusing on critical care, gastroenterology, and cancer care nutrition. I’ve contributed to the development of educational resources and guest lectured at prestigious institutions like Cambridge University, Queen Mary University of London, and Ulster University Belfast. Since 2012, I’ve been involved in research collaborations and continue to work through networks like the NNEdPro Global Innovation Panel.

Today, I’m based in the home counties, where I’m furthering my training in family medicine and general practice with a strong focus on lifestyle medicine. Throughout all my work, nutrition and lifestyle remain at the heart of my practice.

In a world where we’re often overwhelmed by information, I believe my unique blend of medical knowledge and experience in clinical nutrition helps me cut through the jargon. My goal is to work with you to navigate your personal health journey—whether that’s making nutritional adjustments to complement medical treatments or optimising your health through the mantra, “You are what you eat.”
